I worked in the SDIU with little cath lab experience and loved my experience. If you're willing to be busy every day, it's a great gig. My schedule was 3, 12-hour shifts and no weekends. Staff was hesitant to love me right away due to conflicts with management and within strikes, but after I showed my work ethic, they become close friends and "works moms". They are pre and post op for all kinds of cardiac procedures. Ablations, TAVRs, normal cath lab procedures, etc. We also performed TEES and Cardioversions. Great experience and cheap living. Just super busy!
